The company aims to minimize the impact of waste in construction and operations across all businesses. They follow the "Zero-waste to Landfill Zero-waste to Ocean" approach and employ the 4Rs: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This includes a focus on reducing single-use waste, planning efficient material usage for maximum lifecycle benefits, and collaborating with external organizations and contractors to ensure proper waste management. In the hotel business, the emphasis is on reducing food waste and achieving zero-plastic operations.

Return Bottle Project
Singha Estate is committed to promoting sustainable plastic packaging usage under the “Circular Economy” concept. This idea led to the installation of two Reversed Vending Machines (RVMs) that support the recycling of used clear PET plastic bottles. The RVMs have been installed at two sites: THE ESSE Sukhumvit 36 and THE ESSE at SINGHA COMPLEX.

Become a member of the Circular Economy in the Construction Industry: CECI.
The company has become a member of the Circular Economy in the Construction Industry (CECI) collaborative network, which aims to enhance the construction industry to be environmentally friendly and reduce landfill waste disposal. By considering a full supply chain approach to construction, the development of Siraninn Residences Pattanakarn has been able to minimize construction waste by up to 49,047 kilograms. Additionally, the company has recycled the pile head scraps from its construction projects, over 1,232 tons, between 2021 and 2022, for use as construction materials.

Thailand Responsible Business Network
The company has been a member of the Thailand Responsible Business Network (TRBN) for three consecutive years. In 2022, the company continued joining Phase 2 of the "Vibhavadi Zero Waste" project, which is ongoing from the 2021 initiative. TRBN organized the "Vibhavadi Zero Waste" project, which offers SET-listed companies on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road the opportunity to reduce waste to landfills through proper waste separation practices.

PARLEY
PARLEY is a non-profit environmental organization that is part of a global cooperation network dedicated to saving the oceans from plastic waste. PARLEY, in partnership with Singha Estate, initiated the CROSSROADS project in Maldives aiming to support the collection of plastic bottles for recycling. So far, over 1,030 kilograms of plastic have been delivered to PARLEY, including a total of 40 kilograms of beach waste delivered in 2022. The company plans to seek further collaboration with network partners for sustainable development in the future.

Minimizing food waste as much as possible
The company is actively working to minimize food waste, aligning with its goals to reduce food waste and food loss in production and promote food sustainability. Unavoidable food waste, like fish bones, animal scraps, and fruit peels, will be repurposed for beneficial uses like EM solutions or compost. For avoidable food waste, the company is focusing on reducing the amount of food waste generated per person.
