"The Second Pulse" Reveals the Unseen Side of Medical Professionals You May Have Never Imagined!
Through an art exhibition featuring doctors' artwork and a workshop
If you think that the white coat is the only identity of doctors, we invite you to discover a new perspective at THE EXTRO Phayathai-Rangnam through colorful stories of creative work.

From Examination Room Walls to Gallery of the Heart
Sunlight streamed through the clear windows of THE EXTRO Phayathai-Rangnam, illuminating artworks hung in neat rows. Not in a luxurious museum, but in a condominium lobby that has transformed into a small gallery. At first glance, you'd think this is a professional art exhibition - never imagining these are works by doctors. And with that comes an intriguing question.
Simple Art Through Medical Student's Fingertips
Standing before the Finger Painting works, stories were told through Pruek Matthayom Jan, a 6th-year medical student from Chulalongkorn University, who shared his discovery of joy through art. "Painting with hands makes us learn to let go of perfection and turns to focus on expressing emotions and feeling the power of art through our senses. For me, painting is not just a leisure activity, but a time to be with myself, to release emotions, thoughts, and feelings. It's also a space where I can be completely myself. I want everyone to try finding their second pulse to discover another side of life's happiness." The popularity of his work on TikTok confirms that art can reach people without boundaries, just like healing that knows no gender, age, or status.
When the Precision of Medical Hands Creates Paintings
Dr. Warisara Rutrawanit, or "Dr. Tun", a specialist in anti-aging medicine and health restoration at Bumrungrad International Hospital, stood beside her delicate watercolor paintings that were stunningly detailed and full of feeling. "Some people may be stressed without realizing it. Finding the right space for yourself to find life's balance is therefore important. I am fascinated by watercolor painting because it's a medium we cannot completely control. We must practice letting go and acceptance, letting water guide us, forgetting things beyond our control and focusing on what's in front of us."
Art and Flavor
The aroma of fresh bread wafted from one corner of the event, where Associate Professor Dr. Sira Korpaisan, or "Dr. Pierre" a specialist in internal medicine, endocrinology, and metabolism at Ramathibodi Hospital, shared handmade shio bread and corn cheese. "Even though the second pulse may not be the key to our first pulse, it's an important complement - it's happiness, reward, motivation, and life's harmony. I encourage everyone to reflect on what they still want to do and why they haven't done it yet. If it's not a reason that would negatively impact life, just try it. That’s how we find success in other aspects of life”
Looking Around Because Art Reflects Identity
At a corner table, Dr. Narikul Ketprapakorn, or "Dr. Frang" served fruit juices and smoothies from her own MOOOOD brand while answering participants' questions about balancing life as a doctor, content creator, and business owner. "Sometimes our second pulse might be something already in our bloodstream, just waiting to be discovered. For me, I was helping with the family business since childhood. Growing up, I discovered that business is what I've been passionate about for a long time. It's the space where I create menus and designs brands that truly reflect who I am, combining delicious taste with nutritional value to meet the lifestyle needs of new generations who care about health but still want to fully enjoy life."
Flower Gifts Workshop
The flower arrangement workshop was popular among participants of all genders and ages who tried their hand at creating, unleashing their hidden creativity through bouquets in their own style - another highlight of this event through another form of art.
